Policy makers, researchers, industry groups, and healthcare professionals identify health information exchange (HIE) as a solution to structural problems associated with our healthcare system. Compare and contrast the one problem and one lesson learned from the New York area of focus: identify New York regional HIEs and examine how they are approaching a common problem. Suggested topics to evaluate is the Opioid Crisis, (One to two paragraphs per system/topic is an appropriate length). The paper should be approximately 2 pages in length and include approximately 4 external citations/resources with APA.
