Type of the submission required
This is an INDIVIDUAL piece of work contributing towards the module assessment. Deliverables should be assembled into a single report document, which includes (critical discussion and analysis, research, and snapshot evidences of tasks carried out and justification of technologies and design choices you have used). Submission will be in the form of a MS word report (4000 words).
Business Scenario
The Internet has created a new economy with its rapid growth and has changed traditional ways of doing business. In this dynamic and competitive market, it has been inevitable for the bricks and mortars to keep up with the customer without embracing technology in their business, when customers are ever smarter than before and make their purchases using smart devices.
To be competitive and remain at cutting edge, a growing retail chain Grosso Supermarkets, intends to launch their business online. The aim of this new website is to offer their customers convenience, more control and speedy checkout services. Although the claim is to improve the customer services, however it is obvious that it will also help the company to save massive cost and remain ahead in tough market competition.
The success of this new business model depends on the level of access and usability available to a consumer to improve their journey on the website. The online business website will be connected to remote server machine through a secure connection. The company wants you to design and develop a bespoke online site, which could maximize their customer experience through improved human computer interaction and allow them to carry out their transactions seamlessly both on desktop and smart devices.
To develop this customer friendly, reliable, efficient and meticulous designed website, Grosso Supermarket has hired the services of software consultancy firm Design-Net, for which you work, to prepare a report including;.
You should carry out your initial research on the current web based technologies available and user experience design principles.
You are then asked to create functioning and innovative systems with a cross-platform solution with a pleasant user-experience spiced up with modern interactive attributes.
You are also required to produce a report to achieve the following tasks as outlined below along with marks breakdown. You can make necessary assumptions about user personas/customer profiles in order to develop requirements for the innovative front-end web solution.

You could consider using some of the elements of user-centred approach as suggested by Jesse James Garrett. In your report, you need to discuss the use of web based technologies solutions for a given scenario, and must demonstrate valid use of concepts learned from the course (30%). [1000 words]
The report should also identifies and evaluates the impact of a future disruptive innovation affecting the selected organisation (10%). [600 words]
In your report, you need to demonstrate the ability to formulate and evaluate an innovation strategy for a new technology-based product or service venture (10%). [500 words]
