Look ahead to your final written assignment for this course – the Final Project. You will see that this research paper requires you to explore a particular topic in the history of psychology, whether it be a set of theoretical concepts or a specific debatable issue, such as “nature versus nurture”.
Each of your three written assignments is designed to help you get started on developing your final paper.
For this third written assignment:
Choose a topic that interests you from the material covered in Module 4 and 5 of this course, which includes anything addressed in Chapters 9 – 14 in your Schultz & Schultz text.
Module 4 and the preceding modules address Behaviorism, Gestalt psychology, and Psychoanalysis. You are invited to look ahead to the Module 5 readings in completing the third written assignment, as you may find topics of interest to you there. This will allow you time during Modules 5 and 6 to finalize your term paper.
Write an Introduction (for your potential final paper) in which you define the topic and indicate why it is important to the history of psychology.
This Introduction should be 2 to 3 pages in length (double spaced, 12pt font, APA formatted) excluding title page and references. Please see the Course Calendar for important paper due dates.
