For this element of the assessment, you will critique and explore the delivery of safe and effective care by doing the following:
You will need to consider an episode of care within the context of interprofessional working within mental health nursing.
This assignment will require you to evidence your professional knowledge, values and attributes in the leading, assessing and management of complex care.
Within this assignment, you will be expected to support your work with the relevant literature working within academic regulations to produce a quality piece of academic work appropriate to the academic level of the module. (Level 6)

Critique: The purpose for writing a critique is to evaluate somebody’s work to increase the readers understanding of it.
Critical Thinking: Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skilfully conceptualizing, applying, analysing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, reading or communication, as a guide to belief and action.
Critical analysis:

Critical Evaluation: Give your verdict as to what extent a statement or findings within a piece of research are true, or to what extent you agree with them. Provide evidence taken from a wide range of sources which both agree with and contradict an argument.
Synthesising: Synthesis is a written discussion that draws on one or more sources. It follows that your ability to write syntheses depends on your ability to infer relationships among sources – essays, articles, fiction, and also nonwritten sources, such as lectures, interviews, observations.
Exploration: Examination of a subject. Exploration is one of three purposes of empirical research (the other two being description and explanation)
Leading: Leadership has been described as the behaviour of an individual when directing the activities of a group toward a shared goal.
Assessing: Development of a plan of care that identifies the specific needs of a person and how these needs will be addressed.
Complex Care: Usually defined as patients with complex care needs with a combination of multiple chronic conditions, mental health issues, medication-related problems and social vulnerability.
