Identify asset and Community Mapping and Electronic Brochure

For this assignment, you will do an online search of the community that surrounds your field site. During your search, identify assets and community resources that can be utilized in the school curriculum and classroom practices. Then create an electronic brochure with links (that you could potentially share with parents and the school community) that presents what resources you discovered and how they can be used.

Attached is an example of the Community Mapping Brochure. This example is good, but be sure that your brochure has important points but NOT TEXT heavy. (Bullet points are best and LESS IS MORE) REMEMBER: People stop reading if it’s too text heavy! Use pictures/illustrations to engage the reader. Pretend you will be sending home to parents of your school!
