Choose one psychological/psychosocial and one sociological theory/ concept covered and- critically evaluate how your chosen psychological/psychosocial and sociological concepts could be used when working with specific service users given.
Critically evaluate how Ecological theory could be used when working with Children and infant.
Also, in terms of Sociological concepts, critically evaluate the impact of Social exclusion on Mental Health people (adults, children or young people) in our society.
In both concepts, draw a critical analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen theoretical perspectives with reference to evidence from research and practice.
(So we are looking at (and providing evidence of ) the strengths and weaknesses of Ecological theory and also Social Exclusion and what research and practice tells us about its application. Is Ecological theory helpful using it on Children and infancy to Social work?)

If Social exclusion, how does that inform social work practice in relation to Mental Health people -adults or children/ young people? So, it could be the impact of Social exclusion on Mental health people.
Also how does the practice of Ecological theory on Children and infant inform social work practice.
Your knowledge and understanding of the implications of discrimination and inequality in relation to the chosen topic -(Ecological theory and Social Exclusion)
(So how can it be discriminatory using some of these topics? How are some of the topics discriminatory in themselves and discrimination in relation to the Service user group chosen. i.e Children and Mental health people.)
Assessment criteria
In order to achieve a pass mark you are expected to provide and demonstrate:
a) A critical analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen theoretical perspectives with reference to evidence from research and practice.
b) Your knowledge and understanding of your chosen psychological/psychosocial and sociological concepts and theories and how these inform social work practice.
c) Your knowledge and understanding of the implications of discrimination and inequality in relation to the chosen topic.
d) Use of relevant literature, acceptable standard of written English and accurate referencing using the Harvard format.
