Module Description
In this module we will review drug pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics as they relate to body. Antibiotics, vaccines and upcoming designer drugs will be reviewed and applied to common disease processes across the lifespan.
Module Objectives
Course Outcome: Teach how drug pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics relate to disease process.
Module 1: Drug therapy, antibiotics, immunizations and designer drugs objectives:
1. Describe pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and apply to a clinical situation.
2. Refer to the most current guidelines on medication administration for patients across the life-span.
3. Compare and contrast various classes of pharmacological agents in relation to evidenced-based treatment of common clinical diagnosis.
4. Demonstrate understanding of pharmacology as it relate to disease process by developing a case study and teaching plan
