Intercultural Communication
Length: 5-6 pages
Format: Double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-pt font, with 1” margin on all sides
Film: Get Out
Concept: Race
Assignment Details:
Choose any of the concepts discussed in Chapter 1 and analyze it with reference to popular culture, particularly media representation (film or television series). You can relate one concept with another (for examples, gender with class/religion, etc) BUT avoid the urge to include everything discussed in the chapter. Make sure you contextualize the media text (give basic information) and also, cite the textbook. You are required to use other sources (scholarly and popular) to support your argument.
Important: You are required to include a bibliography (APA style), and also, use in-text citations, when required. The bibliography is not inclusive of the minimum length requirement (5 pages). If possible, also attach images of your example – this will help you illustrate your argument better (again, this is NOT inclusive of the minimum page length). Make sure you follow a proper essay format – introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Also, remember to include a creative title!
