No more than 4 pages, normal margins, and 1½ spaced. Interview a family (or family member).
Prepare your questions for the family prior to the interview using course content, your research, current events and issues, media, and personal interests.
The disability (identify, define, warning signs, symptoms, how, why, and when they begin, etc.).
The family and the disability (first awareness, initial reactions & feelings, stressors, impact of on the family (such as holidays, outings, employment functions, finances, etc.)
Sources of support for the child and the family (non-profit, medical, social services, etc.)
Education (services provided, personnel that work with the child, IEP/IFSP, school and classroom supports, etc.)
