- There are multiple ways to present information to a class. Create a brief presentation, NOT using PowerPoint, outlining at least three ways you can use online tools to communicate with students and/or parents, have students collaborate with each other on assignments, and/or use online tools and resources for student projects. Examples could be how to use Twitter for class discussions or virtual bulletin boards.
Greetings,
When it comes to developing a presentation our initial instinct is to reach for PPT or Google Slides because they are familiar and comfortable. This thread is intentionally pushing you out of your comfort zone to try some different technologies. There so many tools to choose from that the task can seem daunting, so here’s a link to assist you as begin your research: Top Alternatives to Prezi and PowerPoint.
I actively encourage to experiment with some of these and consider your audience’s needs. Are they more likely to view content on their desktop, tablet, or phone? We live in a mobile world and that should play into your decision-making process as well. Also consider that if you are using a presentation to set the stage for a Blended Learning environment, it may be prudent to ensure that the material you present is fully engaging for the learner.
