With reference to the content point – (ACHHK064) – Celebrations and commemorations in other places around the world; for example, Bastille Day in France, Independence Day in the USA, including those that are observed in Australia, such as Chinese New Year, Christmas Day, Diwali, Easter, Hanukkah, the Moon Festival and Ramadan (ACHHK064).
This unit of work needs to incorporate Historical concepts and skills and include assessment strategies for learning sequences. A assumptive assessment task must be described and worked towards throughout the unit.
The assignment must follow the inquiry sequence (Questioning, Researching, Analyzing, Evaluate, Communicate) and must have focus questions and final action ideas. Resources (including CIT), a global education focus and organization of students must be indicated as well as teaching and learning activities relating to the chosen syllabus outcomes. Planning should include open-ended tasks to cater for the diversity of learners.
