1. (a) The purpose or transition from Study 1 to Study 2 needs to be clearer. (b) Study 2 should have a stronger literary tie to critical race theory (CRT) linked to the results from Study 1.
2. (a) CRT should be better explained, (b) then linked to its’ absence in business practice, (c) as well as proposed for a potential explanation for the phenomenon experienced through the results of the current study.
3. The results section should ensure it addresses the elements in the sample outline for research methods & data selection. This should be included in both Study 1 and the proposed Study 2.
4. The results section should more robustly describe how the coding was done. Very specifically, the way themes were introduced and linked to the interviews results should be better articulated.
5. (a) The discussion should really focus on clearly identifying and describing the three types of discrimination, particularly as it relates to the respondents’ answers. (b) The case needs to be made for the distinguished usage of systemic and institutional racism. (c) The limitations section also needs further expounding.
6. Within study two, there should be additional literary contexts to substantiate why the study will be conducted the way it is proposed, i.e. literary precedence.
7. There needs to be a clean scrub of references and citations. Each should be included and linked. Please conduct a thorough check.
