Assignment – Imagine you’re a K-5 school librarian and have no ongoing money for collections. You get your titles from gifts, donations and one time allotments from the PTA. You have two books on the solar system in your school library and both refer to Pluto as a planet. Unfortunately, Pluto has recently become de-classified as a planet. (Discussion on Considering Collections Funds)
What do you do to resolve this problem?
Do you keep the items, so that you have something that talks about the solar system?
Remove them because (alas) Pluto is no longer considered a planet?
Is there a completely different option to consider?
Learning Objectives
By the end of this week, you will be able to:
Apply methods of assessment and evaluations.
Effectively respond to gifts.
