Corrections comments- and what is needed:
I think you have a lot of good ideas but they aren’t organized in a consistent manner. I think that writing a detailed outline (more detailed than what I have provided) will help you immensely. Currently you have a bunch of thoughts but they are just statements and not woven together to make your points. I think too you have a lot of similar ideas that should be synthesized together instead of just included as separate statements. The function of the literature review is to summarize and I think currently you are just stating rather than summarizing.

Suggested format/outline:
-Intro to stress
What is it, generally how it manifests itself behaviorally and physiologically
-Behavioral response to stress
Changes in behavior (fear, avoidance, defecation, lethargy, etc)
Stressors that cause behavior change (social stress, environmental stress, stress specific to slaughter, etc)
-Physiological response to stress
General description leading to lactate, cortisol and glucose
Cortisol
Glucose
Lactate
For all the blood sections I would start with general description of how it responds to stress and how you measure it then discuss stressful situations that the animal experiences and how the metric changes.
