Janet is a 12-year-old girl who is experiencing academic difficulties. Her parents meet with her teacher to discuss the issues. Janet’s teacher indicates that Janet demonstrates difficulty with timed tasks and mathematics. However, her language skills (vocabulary and comprehension) appear to be strong. Janet’s teacher suggests she should be evaluated by a psychologist to better understand her areas of strengths and limitations. You are a psychologist, and Janet’s parents seek out your assistance as a result of their meeting with Janet’s teacher.
Create a plan for how you will approach the evaluation of Janet. Your plan should include the following:
Identify at least one intelligence test and one achievement test that you will use.
Discuss why you have chosen to use these tests in the evaluation of Janet.
Explain what theories of intelligence you will use when approaching the evaluation of Janet and why you chose them. Compare your chosen theory with two other theories of intelligence.
Your evaluation plan should be a minimum of two pages in length (not including title and references pages) and use at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course textbook. Use APA style for formatting. All sources used, including the textbook( Psychological Testing 7th edition by Robert Gregory), must be cited and referenced according to APA style.
