You must complete and submit three professional tasks that are related to your chosen career pathway. These three tasks must be approved in advance of submission by the module convener. These could include but are not limited to:
Teaching: Designing a lesson plan; creating a Noodle test; designing a module and assessment(s).
Research: Preparing an abstract and poster for a conference; preparing a full ethics form for a proposed study; searching for research funding and writing a bid; writing a magazine article.
Consultancy: Writing a client feedback letter; writing a magazine article; designing a ‘What is…?’ educational leaflet to a client group or individual athlete; designing a workshop and flyer; designing a website for your consultancy business.
All three tasks must be presented in the final format you would send to publishers, clients, or students. Your submission should include one side of paper containing no more than 25 words to demonstrate who the client, teaching group or target audience is for each task. For example:
• Task 1: A group of 50 students on a 1st year sport psychology module in a sport science programmer.
• Task 2: A 12 year old gymnast currently within the County squad, on the verge of the national team.
• Task 3: Runners’ World magazine with an informed, non-academic audience of running enthusiasts
