Provide Evidence to demonstrate students’ learning for the Tested Curriculum? What formative and summative tests will you administer, and how you will use the results.
After receiving your Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, you are contacted by an superintendent of a school district to design and implement a curriculum at a new and innovative school. He says that you may choose a content area and grade level of your choice (since it is a K-12 school), and you will design the curriculum using English’s Aligned Curriculum Model.
The school principal asks you to begin with
2 content standards (or a curriculum framework) as a foundation for the Written Curriculum. Describe what standards you would use,
the content area, and grade level.
What models, strategies and resources will you
use for the Taught Curriculum? Describe how you
will use the Written Curriculum as a foundation,
with the most appropriate models, strategies and teaching-learning activities. The school is well funded, so use whatever books, teaching and learning resources, tools of technology, etc. needed to successfully implement the curriculum.
You will need to provide Evidence to demonstrate students’ learning for the Tested Curriculum? What formative and summative tests will you administer, and how you will use the results.
The school will also need current research, references and other resources at the end of the project using APA format.
1- Decide what to include in the Written, Taught and Tested dimensions.
2-Limit the contents of each of the three components to approximately 400 words for each dimension
3-Include at least three elements of culturally responsive teaching in the Taught portion of the project and identify each using the CRTL (Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning) acronym.
