Attend and review a photography gallery opening, photography lecture, or museum photo exhibit. Write 1-2 page review and be prepared to discuss your review in class. Photographer and their images must be documentary or photojournalism in genre. (In other words, an Ansel Adams Exhibit is not acceptable.)
Must have imagery on display on the wall or as part of a slide show within the lecture.
Discuss the content, the composition, and the technique. Use creative devices for help if needed.
Give a critical analysis: Don’t just sum it up. What did you like and didn’t and why. Discuss specific images.
What are your impressions of the photographer if they themselves are present or speaking?
Online bodies of work or lectures are not acceptable. Get off your computer and get out of the house.
