Students will review the scope statement and WBS from the office relocation project scenario. Students will then complete the scope statement and WBS for their own project scenario and submit the scope statement and WBS for grading.
Office Relocation Scope Statement
We will assess our current needs as well as growth needs for the next three years. We will identify, select, lease, and create an office layout in a new building and move our company. We will seek to use as much existing infrastructure as possible. Modifying our existing building will NOT be considered as an option.
The scope of the office relocation project is elaborated using the WBS. The WBS is a structured outline of the project deliverables.
Assignment Part 1:
Refer again to the project you selected in Module 1 for which you created a charter and stakeholder analysis. Use this project and the examples for the office relocation project scenario to complete the following assignment.
Create a project scope statement. Follow the example given in the office relocation scenario.
Create a WBS for your selected project using the office relocation WBS as a guide. Feel free to use the template from the Office Relocation project.
