How might you get children start off for this? E.g. working alone or with a partner to practice the skills that they have learnt so far e.g. ground fielding, throwing and catching.How would you develop this? Get children working from greater speeds etc.
Children can apply all those skills that they have learnt in a small sided game to create a sequences of movement.
Additional Notes:
They could include the children practising these skills in pairs or small groups, and they could include applying these skills into a modified game in small groups to practise them in a ‘game like’ situation. (I want the application of the skill to focus more of applying them in a game like situation.
Devise a simple scoring system for successfully hitting the target and a ‘near miss’. The child who scores the most successful hitting the target is the winner.
