OUR TOPIC
1. What’s been happening during Covid-19? Examine what has been happening with climate change, environmental policy, etc. during the Covid-19 pandemic.
WHAT WE WILL DISCUSS.
Our group will discuss how societal changes (lockdowns, less travel, etc.) in individualist vs collectivist cultures during COVID-19 have changed our understanding of air pollution. We’re hoping this will tell us more about the role humans play in climate change. Understanding causal relationships between human activity and environmental sustainability is crucial to our survival – especially if we can connect that to culture. We know that the environment is changing rapidly. If humans can play a role in slowing the process down, we must take action. This knowledge is crucial for us to create policy that makes real, positive change.
